CMCT Summer Camp-2024

CMCT summer camp held from 13th to 17th may was a vibrant gathering that brought together approximately 45 children ranging from 5 to 13 yrs.Each day was marked by a blend of spiritual reflection,environmental awareness and engaging activities designed to foster learning and creativity.

Daily Activities:

The camp commenced each day with a word of prayer,accompanied by singing,setting a positive tone for the day.Emphasis was placed on environmental consciousness with discussion on topics such as water conservation,plastic reduction and tree cultivation instilling a sense of responsibilty towards the environment in the young children.

Structured Learning:

Children were grouped into classes based on their age and skill level,ensuring tailored instructions and activities.Throughout the camp core values like Respect,Responsibility,Friendship and Forgiveness were imparted through thought provoking discussions and interactive sessions.Each day a proverb was shared,enriching the children with wisdom and cultural insights.

Engaging activities:

The curriculum was enriched with variety of hands on activities aimed at stimulating creativity and skill development from cooking classes to crafting photo frames and making bracelets and earrings.Every day this brought new experience for the children to explore and enjoy.The camp fostered an environment where learning was both educational and enjoyable.

Beyond the structured classes,children were encouraged to explore new interest and talents. They enthusiastically participated in creating charts and models.The camp served as a platform for self discovery and expression and igniting a passion for group learning among the young children.

The culmination of the camp was marked by a grand final day program on May 17th.Judges from CMCT sponsorship were invited to evaluate the children’s performance,prizes awarded for outstanding class achievements.Recognitions were given for the regular attendance.Drawing competition and speech competition was conducted based on the theme and first 3 best drawing were awarded,drawing and speech contest added excitement and a sense of accomplishment to the event.

Memorable Experience:

Overall the CMCT summer camp was a memorable and enriching experience for all involved.Beyond the acquisition of knowledge and skills,it fostered creativity and a deeper understanding of important values and environmental stewardship.The event served as a testament to the power of education and community in shaping the minds and hearts of the next generation.
