This centre, as the name suggests, is the anchor for almost 70 girls and women They are trained to embroider, use the machine, and make greeting cards, jewellery, patchwork, dolls and other handicrafts.
After 18 months of training, the girls sit for an exam, after which they are placed in a section best suited to them. Because of the training, the products are of high quality. Amazingly, many of the girls have never had any training in handicrafts and yet have proved to be exceptional.
These products are sold at various outlets and through a network of friends. The income generated helps to pay wages and buy materials. The aim is not only to alleviate poverty but also to provide an atmosphere of love and harmony, as many of them come from unhappy homes.
The Quality Control Department checks all products before they are sent out.
Orders are received not only from India but from all over the world ensuring that our staff always have work.
