This project was started in 2002 when Mr Don Schoendorfer from the U.S. visited and brought with him six wheelchairs he had assembled. He saw the joy it brought the recipient and he went on to start the Free Wheelchair Mission, USA.

With the help of the Free Wheelchair Mission, CMCT makes distributions every month. Providing mobility has transformed the lives of many. The beneficiaries are identified through referrals, requests, and community surveys. The recipients say that the wheelchairs have given them a new beginning as they are now mobile and can engage in activities they could not previously.
